Big things often start with small realizations, small steps into bigness that yield results of goodness. And so it’s been with this journey of co-creation. A writer since he was a small boy, Keith Glendon – now a father himself – envisioned writing a children’s book one day while attending a Young Authors conference with his daughter. He asked her whether she’d help him become a children’s author and she immediately said yes. So began the first steps into Bigness, but he would need a partner in creation. While Keith had always enjoyed art and creation, he recognized his talents lay in the words, not the illustrations. He would need an artist to join him.

He began intending to find his co-creator and within several months, through a ‘random’ moment on facebook, he encountered the artwork of Katie Jo Wright. Her doodles were the embodiment of the feeling he had sought for this project’s vision. He asked “would you be interested in illustrating a children’s book?” She immediately said yes. Thus was born this project; a children’s book in the making, but more than that. Gooder With Bigness is a project of co-creation that honors and celebrates the simple fact that each of us has a Bigness within.

When we grab the courage to step intentionally into that Bigness, we feel Gooder. Life opens up for us and magic happens. The project took its name from the words of another wonderful influence; Helen Haskell. The founder-creator of Joy Center in Ishpeming, Michigan, Helen has been a force in many people’s creative lives and inadvertently gifted this project with its name one evening during her traditional monologue at an “Out Loud” open mic creativity session.

Katie Jo Wright and Keith Glendon are honored to share with you some of the early works of this project, and to encourage each of you to step into your own personal Bigness. We promise, it feels Gooder when you do!!
